James R. Barrett, MD

Dr. James Barrett is a primary care sports medicine specialist. He specializes in caring for individuals of varying activity levels – from the “high-level” athlete to those who are currently sedentary and want to “get moving” again!

Dr. Barrett treats a number on non-surgical needs, including asthma and anemia. Some of the most common conditions he treats are - tendonitis, osteoarthritis, ankle sprains, and dislocations. Dr. Barrett encourages his patients to be active in their own care, and promotes an open dialog during their clinical visits. He very much wants to get to know his patients and establish a relationship of trust, so patients can be honest and open about health issues they may be experiencing.

Dr. James Barrett and his wife, Dr. Barbara Barrett reside in Edmond.
